Australian Bollards – Protecting the Annual Mardi Gras

2020 marks the 42nd annual Sydney equality Mardi Gras parade, which is expected to showcase 190 floats and have over 12,000 participants. Set to be a safe, fun and family-friendly event, last year’s parade brought in a crowd of 5,000 people, with this year set to exceed that amount quite easily.

All events need security and protection. Australian Bollards proudly designs and manufactures event and soft approach bollards. These bollards are the perfect soft approach to hard security! Our soft approach bollards are able to be designed to the customers desire. Our elite manufacturing team is able to customise the bollard to any look you wish. Not only pleasing to the eye, the soft approach bollards are also a serious safety solution.

The bollards are also VBIED compliant, which stands for ‘Vehicle Borne Improvised Explosive Device’. This refers to when a terrorist or deranged person attempts to drive a car purposely with a loaded explosive device into an event building or premise with the intention to detonate. It is unfortunate that these safety measures have to be taken into consideration, but our bollards are made to help stop such attacks.

Australian Bollards looks forward to potentially helping assist in protecting the yearly Mardi Gras parade.
