Maintaining Public Security around Self Isolation

As of midnight on the 16th of March, the Australian Federal Government made it legislation that anyone overseas returning to Australia or is infected with the coronavirus must spend a mandatory 14 days in quarantine and self isolation to prevent the spread of the disease. Cruise ships have also been barred from docking in Australia for the next 30 days.

It can be quite a challenge to monitor the self isolation process of those infected with the virus, but NJM Group has the devised the solution that will keep the pubic safe and secure from those who elect to not comply with the latest health regulations. The solution is our AB-GPS Tracker Anklets.

With both Victoria and ACT declaring a state of emergency and the Federal government enforcing strict travel restrictions to halt the virus’s spread within our borders, these “digital shackles” are a viable solution that will help our governments keep track and monitor the locations of people serving 14 days of quarantine and self isolation.

Using Global Positioning System (GPS) tracking signals to locate the individual, the Tracker Anklet provides real time tracking, emphasising its accuracy.

If the GPS Tracker Anklet is by any means tampered with, incurs a loss of signal, moving outside of the allowed perimeter and is cut off and/or removed, the device will set off an alarm notifying the authorities of the situation at hand, making it impossible to leave the geofence undetected.

It is a criminal offence to not comply with quarantine orders and self isolate and you can be handed a financial penalty up to $20,000.

Other products NJM Group provides to help combat and contain the coronavirus are our Infrared Thermal Detectors AB-H88.

These IR solutions provide public health and safety for everyone as they can be used to measure a person’s body temperature as well as display thermal imaging by scanning the individual, thereby helping detect where a person is infected or not.

NJM Group offers its Tracker Anklets and IR thermal solutions for lease.

Currently in Australia there has been 539 cases with 6 people killed by the virus.
