Protecting Against Hostile Vehicles at Mornington

In addition to our Pneumatic Automatic Bollards, Event Bollards and Removable Bollards were also installed in Mornington, one of Australia’s largest coastal towns, last December.

Australian Bollards installed Removable Bollards on both Queen and Ross St to protect the community against hostile vehicles.

Last year, a car crashed into Northcote Plaza shopping centre in Melbourne’s North, where four people were hospitalised and the outer glass of a shop front was destroyed.

These Removable Bollards can be pad lockable and can halt a 1.5 tonne vehicle travelling speeds of up to 30 km/h. The bollards are engineered to provide security for locations where a temporary solution is necessary, such as parking lots, entry/exit doors or events with heavy pedestrian traffic.

The Event Bollards, however, were placed on Albert and Blake St during December to ensure pedestrian and public safety as Mornington’s Main St was converted into an outdoor dining precinct over the Summer.
